Located just two miles from the ancient and historic city of Bath, Bath racecourse lies on a hill-top in an area called Lansdown. Racedays attract a great West Country crowd and visitors are assured of a sociable and entertaining day out. Bath attracts some of the country's top trainers who will often choose this course to run a horse for the first time. The course's feature race is the Listed EBF Fillies' Stakes in April. There are 18 flat meetings throughout the year. By Car: The racecourse is two miles north of Bath city centre. From the south: take the M4, exit junction 18 and take the A46 south (signposted Bath) for six miles. The course is clearly signposted from here. From the north or west, take the M5/M4. By Train: Bath Spa is the nearest station and is on the Paddington/South Wales line. A special bus service operates from the station to the course from one and a half hours before the first race. By Air: Helicopters may land at the course with prior permission from the Racecourse. Car parking: Free of charge for cars and coaches in the main car park.
