Doncaster is the only racecourse in South Yorkshire and is home to the world's oldest Classic race, the St. Leger from September 8 - 11 2004. First run in 1776, the four-day Seabiscuit St. Leger Festival takes place from 10th to 13th of September. Traditionally, Doncaster begins Britain's Flat season 'on turf' in March and brings it to a close in November, with the The Tote November Handicap.

How to get to Doncaster

By Car:

The racecourse is a mile from Doncaster town centre. From the south the A1 and M1/M18 are good routes. There are signs to the racecourse from the motorways.

By Train:

Doncaster Central is the closest station. Buses 55, 170 and 171 from the station stop 300 metres from the racecourse itself.
