Fakenham is a small, friendly course hidden away in the peaceful Norfolk countryside which offers a great day's racing in an appealing atmosphere. With just nine meetings during the national hunt season, it's worth planning ahead to enjoy your day at Fakenham. All nine national hunt meetings are extremely well attended. The principle racedays are the Countryside Counts Day in February, the Easter Monday meeting, the Geoff Hubbard Memorial Chase in October and the Queens Cup. The entire course can be viewed from all enclosures and the action happens right in front of one's eyes. All car parking is extremely close to the action and the centre of the course is ideal for picnicking. By Car: From the north, take the A1 and A17. From the south, take the A1065, from the west the A148 and from the east the A1067. By Train: King's Lynn is the nearest railway station, but is still 22 miles from the course. So unless you're meeting friends with a car, it isn't the best option.
