2002 was a very special year for Goodwood Racecourse as they celebrate 200 glorious years racing and entertainment. Horseracing was started by the third Duke of Richmond in 1802. Goodwood continues to stage twenty one days of racing in the sporting calendar as well as being a firm diary date in the English summer season.
