To visit Newmarket is to step into the heart of the racing world. Everything connected with racing is rooted in Newmarket, home to the National Stud, the British Racing School, the original headquarters of the Jockey Club, many of the world's leading yards and two of the premier racecourses in the UK - The July Racecourse and the Rowley Mile Racecourse. Top class racing is assured along with the opportunity to rub shoulders with racing's finest in the superb facilities of the Millennium Grandstand or in the garden party atmosphere of the July Racecourse.
Highlights of the Newmarket calendar include the Guineas Festival featuring two of the five British Classics - the 1000 Guineas and the 2000 Guineas. The July meeting features the Darley July Cup and Ladies' Day, also Cambridgeshire Day and Champions Day featuring two Group one races and two Group two races plus the Tote Cesarewitch and the Jockey Club Cup.
Also at Newmarket experience 'Newmarket Nights', six evenings of horseracing followed by a live concert, including a tribute To The Bee Gees. Other bands include Liberty X, Atomic Kitten, Jools Holland, Status Quo and the Hollies.
