Newton Abbot offers 19 days of competitive jump racing, including Summer Jumping in June July and August. In recent years Newton Abbot has become one of the finest of the smaller racecourses.

Highlights include the Claude Whitley Memorial Cup Steeplechase, The William Hill Handicap Chase and The William Hill Novice Chase, all during November. Plus the One and Only Handicap Hunter Chase. The summer racing season at Newton Abbot runs from May to September.

By Car:

The racecourse is just off the A380 which can be reached via the M5.

By Train:

The line from Paddington runs to Newton Abbot station which is about three quarters of a mile from the racecourse.

Disabled facilities

There is a special viewing ramp for disabled racegoers, and both the Grandstand and Teign Suite have lifts.
