Nottingham Racecourse has a rich 100-year history, hosting Flat racing only for the first time in 1996. Now offering a total of 21 days Flat racing from March through to November, this Midlands course is becoming increasingly popular and has undergone significant improvements to its facilities in recent years, including a refurbished Grandstand. Highlights include the popular Summer Saturday afternoons when there is free children's entertainment. Ladies Night in August with trade stands, jazz quartet and children's entertainment plus a Best Dressed Lady Competition. By Car: The racecourse is east of Nottingham off the B686 Colwick road. From the north, racegoers should leave the M1 at Junction 25 and follow the A52 to the A6011 at West Bridgford. From here follow the brown Tourist Board signs and Park and Ride signs to the course. By Train: Nottingham railway station is two miles from the course. By Bus: Bus 44 leaves the city centre for the course every 15 minutes.
