Steeplechases have been run at Stratford Racecourse since 1755. There are now 15 meetings a year, most of which take place within the summer months. Equipped with a new glass fronted Grandstand (opened in 1997) and having won a major award for the care of the racetrack, Stratford is proud to be in the top flight of Britain's smaller courses. Highlights include the Intrum Justitia Cup Final Championship Hunters Steeplechase, a two-day festival in May. By Car: The racecourse is approximately 15 minutes from Junction 15 of the M40 and 40 minutes form Junction 7 of the M5. By Train: The nearest station is Stratford which is 5 minutes drive away by car. Disabled FacilitiesThe Tattersall Enclosure has a disabled viewing area with unisex disabled toilets. Disabled car parking is next to the disabled viewing area. Children's FacilitiesThere is a permanent playground with swings and slides.
