Taunton is the youngest racecourse in Britain and one of the most beautifully located, with outstanding views across the course to the wooded slopes of the Blackwood Hills. Situated just a few minutes drive from the centre of Taunton, the course attracts an enthusiastic and friendly crowd from across the South West. Taunton is a countryside course with a countryside atmosphere, combined with modern facilities and hospitality. Taunton offers 12 great days a year of jump racing. By Car: Taunton Racecourse is on the B3170 road from Taunton to Corfe and Honiton, approximately 2 miles south of Taunton town centre. Leave the M5 at Junction 25 and travel towards Taunton, following the signs for the Racecourse. If you are travelling on the A303 from Dorset or South Somerset, take the A358 which crosses under the M5 and pick up the racecourse signs. For those travelling from North Devon or Minehead, the B3170 leaves Taunton from the traffic lights by the town centre Sainsbury's. By Train: Taunton Station is on the Paddington line. By Bus: A bus is scheduled to leave Taunton Station at 12 noon and the bus station at 12.10 and to return half an hour after the last race, though timings may vary throughout the year.
