Dunstall Park, Wolverhampton, is the first floodlit racecourse in Britain, and provides both evening and afternoon racing throughout the year.
There is no longer jump racing at Wolverhampton and now the action revolves around flat racing on the all weather track throughout the year.
Wolverhampton racecourse was re-developed in 1993 and is now a modern, spacious complex incorporating a 54 bedroom Holiday Inn and a conference and exhibition centre.
Wolverhampton is the only floodlit racecourse in the UK which makes the regular Saturday evening meetings rather special. At evening race meetings there are special themes, with extra entertainment for diners and dancing until midnight after the racing.
