The twelve clubs in the Zurich Premiership 2003/2004 are Bath Rugby, Gloucester, Leeds Tykes, Leicester Tigers, London Irish, London Wasps, NEC Harlequins, Newcastle Falcons, Northampton Saints, Rotherham Titans, Saracens, and Sale Sharks. The Zurich Premiership 2003/2004 commences on 12 September 2003. During the Zurich Premiership 2003/2004 points will be awarded as follows: - 4 points will be awarded for a win
- 2 points will be awarded for a draw
- 1 point will be awarded to a team that loses a match by 7 points or less
- 1 point will be awarded to a team scoring 4 tries or more in a match
The Zurich Premiership runs for 22 rounds. The club that tops the Zurich Premiership table will automatically qualify for the Zurich Premiership Final and the second and third clubs will play against each other for the other finalist position. In addition to the Zurich Premiership Final, the top four clubs who have not automatically qualified for the Heineken Cup will enter the Zurich Wildcard, a competition that gives clubs a chance to grab the final spot to qualify for Europe's premier competition. There is automatic promotion and relegation between the club that finishes bottom of the Zurich Premiership and the club who wins National Division One. |
